On its 1998-1999 return, Pacifica will not honestly be able to check Yes on Line 63a, because its public documents have not been open for public inspection at all of its offices (since it was operating out of a secret location) since the start of the KPFA lock-out.

Analysis: Highlights of This Page
In Line 78, Pacifica reports having unrelated business income. This is $45,000 from rental of property, as listed on the next page, Line 97b. This income required Pacifica to file Income Tax Return Form 990-T and pay taxes on that income. Form 990-T is not required to be available for public inspection.
Pacifica files returns in New Jersey and Virginia (line 90), for reasons as yet unexplained. It may be that these states require returns to be filed because Pacifica stations and their fund drives can be heard in these states, or because donations have been received from residents of these states, or because fundraising phone calls are made to residents of these states.
